One commenter in the Requests section has newly discovered exotica and asked me to provide my 20 starter songs to sort of get them introduced to this genre. This of course is an almost impossible task as it would be hard enough just to pick say the best 20 of Les Baxter who is just one artist.
I'm going to give it a go but I think somehow it will have a few more songs than 20.
Anyhow in the meantime here is the first CD in the Ultra Lounge series and it is an almost perfect exotica starting point and in fact was my first CD purchase in this genre.
I was going to upload this at 320kps as this album is sadly now deleted but the Hot Sauce Lounge has already done so so here is the link.

Yes HSL has done a great job. So far no one has posted these at any bit rate worth having and minimal cover scans. I have collected 19 of the 20 so far due to this.
Maybe the record co. owe more to us than they know. What did Endless Mike used to say? "192 is good enough for you" If he is still lurking what say he of "FLAC"?
